BFP After 2 IVF

We have been trying to conceive for over 2 yrs and finally we got our BFP!!!!

Our journey began 2 yrs ago when we started trying naturally. We went through 5 failed IUI and then we finally switched to IVF.

First failed IVF: 10 eggs retrieved, 6 mature, 3 fertilize, 1 embryo transferred and other 2 embies didn't make it for freezing :( My 2ww symptoms- I had 5 day transfer. Only 1 day bed rest. Took vaginal endometrium suppositories 3 times day.

1-2 dt- Slight uterus cramps. Felt like tugging and pulling in the uterus.
3-5 dt- Sharp uterus tugging and pulling.
6-8 dt- No symptoms. No cramps. Symptoms just disappeared.
9 dt- Started to spot.
10-11 dt- Full period like flow.
14 dt- BFN beta. Waited 1 cycle to start 2nd IVF.

Second IVF- 20 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 6 fertilize and 2 embryos transferred, and other 4 didn't make it to freezing again :( My 2WW symptoms- 5 day transfer. Day before transfer, I did pre-embryo acupuncture and did acupuncture after embryo transfer. RE told me to be on bed rest for 24 hrs but I took whole week to rest. Drank grapefruit juice for entire week.
2dt- Left ovary slightly twitching. On bed rest.
3 st- Stretching in uterus. On bed rest
4 dt- Heard from nurse, rest of embies died. I was very upset. Felt strong cramps in the uterus. Just to relax, I went for another acupuncture to relax myself. I usually breakout before my AF. I had a few breakouts on my face. On bed rest.
5 dt- Poking pain in left ovary, cramping in lower stomach. Had lower back pain at nighttime. Did some light chores around the house but tried to stay relaxed.
6 dt- No cramps but felt nauseous all day. Stayed home. Few new breakouts
7 dt- Nauseous all day, uterus stretching. Lower backache.
8 dt- Tightness in uterus. No nausea.
9 dt- Yellow CM. Little bit of tightness in uterus.
10 dt- White CM. Nauseous all day. More breakouts. First day back to work
11 dt- Nauseous all day. Had very light red CM (possible implantation).
12 dt- Nauseous all day. More clear CM. First day had bad headache.
13 dt- Nauseous all day. Very intense headache. Small amount of CM.
14 dt- First Beta test. Nervous, didn't sleep to well. Results came in and its positive!!!!! Beta-596. Nauseous all day. Tiny amount of CM.
15dt-16 dt- Just Nauseous.
17 dt- 2nd beta test. Beta- 1495 (it doubled). I can finally breathe.

I think our 2nd IVF worked because I stayed well rested during 1-7 dt (implantation period) and did acupuncture to keep the blood flowing towards the uterus. During my 2ww, I was pretty positive that I was pregnant because my symptoms either were getting worse or I was getting new symptoms. I know 2WW is insane time but don't loose the hope.

Embryo Donation/Adoption Works!

We were denied IVF due to low amh, high fsh, low responder, male factor. We decided to go with an Embryo Donation program in the Czech Republic. They transferred 2 perfect day 6 embies.

1dp6dt: Slight cramping, pretty mild but still can feel it.

2dp6dt: Slight cramping, pinching feeling in lower right side of tummy.

3dp6dt: Nausea, can’t eat dinner. The smell of cigarettes outside makes my stomach lurch. Boobies are KILLING me. Flew back to the US and so at 3.5dp6dt I caved in and took the HPT that reprofit gave me. I see a slight shadow. Hubby says he thinks it is an indent on the test.

4dp6dt: Got a definite positive on a First Response Early Response. I am blown away. Nausea is worse, still have the cramping and super tired. Bloody mucus when I blow my nose and bleeding gums when brushing teeth.

5dp6dt: Took another hpt. BFP! Even darker. Nausea, really sore boobies and tired. Feeling gassy and bloated. Backache.

6dp6dt: Another hpt. Even darker than yesterday, almost as dark as the control line! Nausea, sore bbs, tired, bloated, backache, some dark brown spotting.

7dp6dt: Beta 166! I am amazed at how fast that came back and at how high the number is! Hoping its twins?!?! Sore bb, nausea, tired backache and metal taste in mouth. Tastes like I am sucking on a penny. Ew! A little bit of pink spotting on my toilet paper twice, but none on pantyliner. It scared me half to death. Came home from work, ate dinner and fell asleep in my chair.

8dp6dt: No more spotting! Boobies are sore but not quite as bad as the past few days. Tired, metal taste in mouth, still light cramping.

9dp6dt: Second Beta drawn today. Won’t get results for two days. Super tired and nausea. Came home from work early to rest. Headache, sore boobies.

I am so thankful to finally be on here and after more than a year of TTC, I received my BFP on a EPT Sunday and I'm PG! It was a faint line and it was 6 dpt. I tested again 8 dpt and the line was darker.

I had a HSC/LAP in July this year which turned out ok and have had so much BW, injections, and so many other tests. I am pretty exhausted and tired of being poked, but it is worth everything I've done. I am still doing P4 oil shots (which hurt so badly) and taking ERT to support the pregnancy. I have relatively ok health except for some terrible chronic issues from a car accident in 2007 and besides BC messing things up for me, steroid injections really messed up my hormones. I barely started to O regularly since February only on Metformin 500-1000 mg a day and over like 3 month period lost massive weight, which was scary. I took Clomid for many, many, months and it only managed to help me OV once last year in a 6 month period. I had a BOB with OPK/OPT and bought the clearblue monitor and also took my BBT regularly. I tried castor oil, yoga, reflexology, acupuncture, read books, and read many blogs. I tried eating organic and healthier and all it did was stress me out the more I did extra things and the more depressed I got. I got so deep in depression crying often and dealing with chronic pain all at once and it was very hard.

I am 28 and I feel like I only have so much time and I have had so much questioning from people about "When will you guys have kids?""Do you want kids?" I was so tired of being asked and all along know that I am trying so hard for it. It was so irritating and annoying. Then friends all around me kept popping up pregnant and said it took 3 months/7 months.... and so forth and I was happy for them but still unhappy about me being unsuccessful. I had irregular cycles after stopping BC and the cycles could be up to 40 days on Metformin when I did OV. I either had a cyst that kept releasing hormones or AO cycles. I think I drove my spouse crazy keeping my calendar clearly marked for the month and told him we had to BD every other day on week of O. It has been a roller coaster ride. I am glad we choose to do IVF versus trying IUI. I don't feel that would have worked for me. Although his SA was good and all my test were clear but something in between the whole process didn't work out and I didn't know what it was... and I was stressing a lot.

I started to think about the story of Hannah in the Bible and pondered over it and also told myself Proverbs 3:5, 6 more than 100x a day. And just taking the example from Hannah, I prayed about the matter and let God know how I felt and wondered for months why I wasn't being blessed with such a great miracle. I started to feel he hadn't heard my petitions to him and felt hopeless. But just like the scriptures say that after she prayed so intensely to God- "her face became self-concerned no more." I had to keep telling myself that he had heard me but just because it doesn't come instantly doesn't mean it won't come at all. God did choose the right time for me because it made me closer to my spouse and also my stress went down when I was doing IVF and was more focused on following the doctor's instructions & making sure I took all the medication I needed to on-time. Our bodies can have malfunctions and not work properly- especially at the times we need it to. However, we can find encouragement through many avenues and many sources. My encouragement was doing things for others in turn helped encouraged me especially (at church), with friends, and family. I started working more on myself and building relationships and fix some that needed repairing. I had to keep socializing instead of just secluding myself because it made things worse to not have friendships.

I had IVF in September 12 and because of OHSS my doctor decided to do a FET cycle the following month which was last month- October 12. This is my second RE, the first one just wasn't working out and we weren't getting anywhere after almost a year. So I knew I need to make changes and go with a better clinic and somewhere where the success rate was good. I am glad my doctor suggested to transfer one instead of two because of the risk involved. I think I would have been pregnant with twins and my frame is very small. That would have been too hard on me.

I really don't have many symptoms yet and am only 4 weeks and a few days. I was told at 6 weeks I would see some symptoms. I just have bad fatigue and my appetite has increased quite a bit. I am drinking protein shakes and trying to gain more weight and taking my pre-natal vitamin daily.

Today my HCG Beta 175, so PG is confirmed :) !!!! I go back in Friday for the next Beta. I'm beyond words excited and hope the pregnancy goes well.

BFP After First Round IVF!! Endometriosis & Male Factor Infertility

Hi all,

My husband (35) and I (35) have been TTC off and on for a year and a half. I have aggressive endometriosis and have had to have two laproscopic surgeries, and we found out that my husband had really high semen morphology (99%). Did three rounds of Clomid with IUI, then since the fertility odds were against us, decided to skip ahead to IVF with ICSI. Just found out today (16dpo11dpt) that I am pregnant! Because all the Crinone gel I'm using can mimic a lot of pregnancy symptoms, I tried not to get my hopes up every time my boobs felt sore or I got sleepy or burst into tears randomly like a nutjob. Plus, these symptoms were so fleeting and short-lived that I wasn't sure if they were anything at all. I took a pregnancy test at 9dpo and was BFN. Decided not to check again and let the bloodwork tell the story.

Yesterday (15dpo10dpt) I was convinced AF was coming. Had cramps all day, felt heavy and achy down there, but no flow. Cramps usually happen after AF has begun, so this was my only shred of hope that something was up. Got blood drawn this AM and beta came back at 596! Still many obstacles to overcome, but I wanted to send reassurance to everyone TTC that you can have many physical challenges and still get there! Don't feel down if you don't have symptoms or the symptoms are few and far between. Don't give up hope if your pregnancy tests come back negative. It ain't over till it's over!!

Best of luck to all of you. I can't wait to read your BFP stories.

Me 45, DH 50
I met my husband late and didn't think being a mom was in the cards for me. It was a long journey to get here, and it was hard to accept that at my age, donor eggs were the safest way to proceed. But now, I can't imagine not taking this road because I get to be pregnant and give birth and be a mom - what a miracle. I read this site obsessively and vowed I would contribute when it was time.

BFP After 2 Long Years!!!

In shock!! I promissed to share my story when I get a BFP and here I am...so happy!!! I am 34 and DH 39 and I have pcos. We have been TTC for 2 years... we tried naturally for over 1 year, then moved to clomid (3 cycles) then to clomid + iui (2 cycles) and we got our little miracle in our 1st ivf cycle!!!
My ivf was almost canceled as I wasn't responding well to the protocol. I had only 4 follicles in the first week and doc. said my chances were too small - they proceed only with minimum 6 follicles.. I asked doc. to continue trying and give a few more days before we give up. After a few days, 2 more follicles were visible!!! Doctor left up to me and DH to decide if we wanted to go ahead or cancel.... I said I just need one and I think my little miracle is in one of these follicles :-) To my disappointment, only 3 eggs were retrieved and only 1 fertilized naturally. You hear all the stories of women retrieving 20 eggs, with more than 10 fertilized... I was so devastated ... why does it have to happen with me? Why only One? I was so depressed but thank god work was keeping me busy...

The next 3 days were a roller coaster... I kept thinking if my only little embryo had survived! What were the chances??
Well, when I got to the hospital for our 3dt, the doc said our embryo was a perfect 8 cell!! \o/ \o/ !!!!! I was crying and so excited when I saw the embryo on the screen... so perfect!

The 2ww were the worst. I was on progesterone shots so could not know if my sore breasts were a sign of pregnancy or from the drug... I didn't feel any symptoms otherwise. I did HPT the night before my beta (10 dp3dt)... it was BFP - I never thought I would see 2 lines on a HPT!! I can't describe the happiness! DH and I saw it at the same time ...

First beta was 116 (11 dp3dt) and beta #2 = 427 (14dp3dt)! Our blimp is hanging in there and making strides. My story proves that despite all the struggles and the odds playing against you, IT CAN STILL HAPPEN! So I am sending lots of baby dust to all of you strong women who are trying to become a mom! Good luck and believe it CAN happen! I just got the best Xmas gift ever! :-) we are praying that "blimp" grows healthy and strong!

BFP With IVF With ICSI - Low AMH, Male Factor... It Can Happen!

$

We have been trying for 1.5 years and finally got our BFP.

Both me and my husband are 35. Our issue was low AMH and male factor. After one failed IUI, we decided to move to IVF with ICSI.

We did our IVF in September - Had 8 eggs retrieved and 6 fertilized through ISCI. 2 were 8 cell grade AA. We did a 3 day transfer of 2 embroys and froze on on day 5.

After my embryo transfer, I was just normal - felt great, had no sore breasts, no cramps, no nausea, nothing! I was not recommended to be on bed rest and in fact the next minute after the transfer, I was asked to get up and change my clothes. Then we went out for lunch and came home and just relaxed for a couple of hours. Then I was doing my normal chores as usual.

I started testing on the cheap internet tests from day 7 and till day 9 I was getting negatives. I was so depressed and was crying most of the time. On day 10, I threw the internet cheapies and took a test with FRER and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a faint line. I almost was 100% sure that I was not pregnant.

Then I tested in Clear Blue Digital and First Response Early Response every 6 hours and could see the line getting darker. I was ecstatic.

My first beta was 126 at 11dp3dt. Second beta was 304 at 13dp3dt

I continued my POI and estrace supplements till my 8 week and was on progesterone suppositories for the 9th week. On my 10th week, I had stopped all my medications.

Now I am on my 14th week and still do not have any symptoms, apart from being constantly hungry and some weight gain. No sore breasts, no cramps, no nausea - NOTHING!

Please don't despair if you don't receive a positive result on your HPT. I would definitely suggest trying FRER instead of the cheapies - Would have saved me from the heartbreak and depression on the days after the transfer.
Please don't worry if you don't have any symptoms at all.
Please don't worry if you have less than average number of eggs retrieved and less fertilize.

IVF journey is hard by itself. I was just clinging to faith and hope blindly. I did feel negative that the cycle will not work out all the time. I was only relieved when I went in for my 7th week scan to see the lil one moving its arms and legs all around.

Again!!!!
Don't feel down if you don't have symptoms or the symptoms are few and far between.
Don't give up hope if your pregnancy tests come back negative. It ain't over till it's over!!

TTC +2 years
Stage 3 endo diagnosed/laparoscopy earlier this year (I had no endo symptoms so it was a big surprise)

Decided to do IVF after advice from consultant. First cycle we got a BFP. Cycle went 26 follicles, 18 eggs, 9 fertilized, 4 made it to blast, 1 ok to transfer the rest failed.

Had acupuncture throughout including on the day of transfer. Took pregnancy vitamin supplements, ate healthy (minimized sugars) and no caffeine. Also did an ivf meditation cd for each of the 3 stages which helped keep me relaxed and sane. Drank masses of water and still am. Did not read any forums or websites throughout the cycle. Also cuddled my cat.. a lot!!

Am now 7 weeks pregnant. Had 6 week scan and now waiting for one around 9 weeks. Had no obvious symptoms except for some cramping for 3 days which may have been due to implantation. Still don't have any symptoms except I am sleeping a lot more.

Never thought this was going to happen for us, but have read this website many times and it always gave me hope. I hope our story gives you strength during difficult times and I wish you all the best with your journey.

BFP - First IVF Cycle

I am so excited to post this! We started trying last year knowing it would be an up hill battle. This summer I had a cyst burst which was an indication that my endometriosis had flared. I went in for a lap at the end of Sept and found out the endo was bad. Lots of scar tissue and both tubes had hydrosalpinx. I went back in at the end of Oct. and had my tubes removed. I then started my first IVF cycle.

Egg retrieval - 12/11/12
Egg transfer - 12/16/12 (2 blastocysts - 4AA, 4BB)

Only symptoms was severe bloating (left over from fluid retention with trigger shot and progesterone) and fatigue. Nothing else!!

Good luck to everyone! Baby dust!

BFP With IVF #1 After 13 Months TTC!!

I can FINALLY submit my story!!!!!

We have been trying to conceive since November 2011 and after a lot of heartbreak we finally got our BFP today!

DH sperm checks out fine, all good there, I have very mild PCOS on my left ovary and very mild endo that got removed in June, but I also got tested for immune issues and had high natural killer cells, posititive anti-phospholipds and positive anti-nuclear antibodies, so basically my immune system could have been potentially destroying any embryo before it had a chance to implant, it also might not of though, it is one of those things that could be affecting fertility but we aren't 100% sure.

So this was my first IVF, 10 eggs retrieved, 6 fertilized, 1 blastocyst transferred on 15/12 and 4 embryos were frozen.

I have had a lot of cramping since the egg transfer, wasn't sure if this was normal or not so couldn't tell if it was a symptom. My boobs have been very sore since starting the medication for IVF so i couldn't rely on that either! I have had lots of AF type cramps and really thought I was out, but at 16dpo (11dp5dt) I got a really strong muscle type cramp on my left side when I turned over suddenly in bed, also got them again yesterday at 17dpo and thought they were a good sign because it was something I hadn't had before. My boobs are slightly veiny, I had to really study them though!

But really, not many symptoms, not sick, no great sense of smell, no blood nose, no metallic taste, no abundance of CM......just really AF cramps, tired and weeing a lot..nothing that couldn't be put down to usual AF symptoms!

Good luck to everyone, I hope you get your miracle soon!

Over 40 High FSH/Low AMH BFP!!

Hi everyone,

I spent the last week or so going through these boards looking at the symptoms, and I promised myself if I got a positive, I would post my story.
I just turned 40. After eight months of no success, we were advised to undergo treatment with IVF. To my major disappointment, my fsh was high and AMH low and so it was suggested that I would not be a good responder to IVF. It turned out I wasn't: only 3 eggs were retrieved at collection, and only two of them fertilized. Thankfully, they were high quality embryos though: one 7 cell and one 9 cell with hardly any fragmentation.

I guess one (or two?) of them implanted because just a few days after my three day transfer, I started feeling a little "off".

Food aversions were my first real clue. I love pecans and was not able to eat them without thinking of cockroaches and gagging
I started having cravings for high protein foods like red meat and pork chops (I am normally not a fan of meat)
Breasts started getting larger and sore
A few night sweats
On and off nausea

My first beta was only 12 at 8dpt
I started getting worried the next day because some of symptoms (like the nausea) disappeared, but at 12dpt my beta was at 58.
At 12 days post transfer, I still feel breast soreness and my appetite is completely gone.

It's early days yet, but I'm desperately hoping that everything continues to go smoothly.

Good luck everyone!

BFP FINALLY!!!!

Have been ttc for almost 9 years. In that time we've tried everything and I mean EVERYTHING. Each disappointment was more heartbreaking than the last. Finally in November we started the agonizingly long journey of IVF. After an excruciating bout of OHSS, two perfect day 5 blasts were transferred. 7 days later, I got the faintest of faint positives on a FRER test. After about 10 minutes a line appeared. It was so light I had to take the test strip out of the plastic casing and hold it up to the light to see it. Unfortunately it ended up being a chemical pregnancy and it terminated on its own in early December. I felt inspired to try again immediately, however, with the 9 frozen embryos leftover from our fresh cycle.
Last week, they thawed 3 blasts. Only 2 survived and were transferred on January 8th.
This morning, I tested. I'm currently 6 days past 5 day transfer. I told myself I wasn't going to test early this cycle and that I'd just wait for my official beta on the 18th, but I couldn't hold out. I've been keeping track of my symptoms and I've had just about every pregnancy symptom in the book, especially the moodiness. I decided that for my own sanity and for the well-being of those around me, I needed to know for sure. The only test I had left was locked up in my desk drawer at work where I'd stashed it to keep myself from jumping the gun this time, so when I tested it wasn't with my FMU. A light but VERY definite second line popped up IMMEDIATELY!
I can't believe it. I'd really thought that this was it for me and that I was going to just have to give up my dreams of being a mother. I can honestly say that I've never been happier about anything in my life.
Here is my symptoms diary.
1dp5dt- Vivid dreams, hot flashes, headache, metallic taste
2dp5dt- Vivid dreams, hot flashes, noticeable cramping, extreme, leg cramps, extreme thirst, frequent urination, headache, metallic taste
3dp5dt- Vivid dreams, night sweats, moodiness, fatigue, low blood sugar at 9:30 a.m., drenched with sweat (it's 10 degrees outside and only about 60 indoors), vertigo and lightheadedness, unbelievable heartburn, metallic taste in the morning, feeling fluish at night and in the morning. Extreme appetite that resulted in me throwing up about 20 minutes later (I thought it was just because I'd REALLY overeaten). AF cramps at night so bad it woke me up. (I think this was implantation day). Loose bowels.
4dp5dt & 5dp5dt- Vivid dreams, hot flashes, fatigue, AF cramps (but less so), heartburn (but not as much as before), insomnia, beginning an upper respiratory infection. Metallic taste gone. Loose bowels. Just "feel pregnant."
6dp5dt- Cough. Sore throat. Tender breasts. Mild AF cramps. BFP!

The only things I did differently this cycle were:
Cut out caffeine (I've been addicted to Diet Coke since college)
Cut out sugar
Cut out ALL artificial sweeteners
Switched from a pre-natal to Geritol (plus an additional folic acid supplement)
Ate pineapple for three days after transfer
Drank about a gallon of water a day from transfer day on.

This goes to show you that it's never too late, and that you should never stop trying!

BFP on 12dpo With IVF/ICSI

Finally excited to be able to share my story! My Husband and I have been trying for over a year. We found out in October we were dealing with a severe male factor and the only way we could conceive was through IVF with ICSI. Thankfully we have amazing insurance and were able to get the ball rolling right away. I had a 5 day transfer with two perfect blasts. I didn't have many symptoms.

0dp5dt - none other than some intense cramping that woke me up during the night
1dp5dt-2dp5dt - sharp shooting pain through my ovaries and uterus. Thought I was twisting an ovary.
3dp5dt - nothing
4dp5dt - I was walking on the treadmill and felt a pulling sensation where my left ovary is (same side as shooting pain). It felt like a tight muscle more than anything so I brushed it off.
5dp5dt - nada except a lot of period cramping
6dp5dt - a lot of period cramping, felt a "gush" and went to check. Had some brown spotting and immediately knew it was implantation bleeding
7dp5dt - BFP on a FRER!

My advice? Don't over-analyze everything. It's so hard not to symptom spot, but I honestly felt the exact same as I normally do, especially right before my period comes.

I'm excited to see what my beta is and if both of the blasts stuck around!

After falling pregnant whilst on contraception with my eldest I truly believed I was so fertile! HA!
Fast forward a year and we couldn't get pregnant no matter what we tried, all tests came back great so totally unexplained..... It was a hard time for us, we decided to go straight into ivf as it had the best odds for achieving a pregnancy and got lucky on our first attempt with our youngest, we are so happy with our children! We decided to try a fet and now we r expecting again!!!
I just wanted to give hope to all those couples that don't think it's going to happen, because it will!

I'll just jump to the good stuff!
We transferred two good embryos, one was already hatching.
2dp5dt- little squeezing feeling of left ovaries( implantation)?? Felt like ovaries but who knows- no sharp pains that made me say "ouch" like they say on here sometimes.
3dp5dt- neg test that evening tired off and on. When I layed down for a while and then stood up my legs felt like I'd run a long time.
4dp5dt- faint line in am, after 4 min. Hubs saw it too! No strong symptoms, PMS feeling.
5dP5dt- pretty strong positive mid morning, my tests were always darker when I tested mid day than my first morning urine, pee darker.
6dp5dt- almost yacked in 5:00 traffic, mild headaches throughout the rest of the days.
7dp5dt- not very hungry, not craving much. Boobs harder but not really much bigger than pms boobs, every now and then I'll feel a sharp tingle that I never got with pms boobs, no diff nipple color. Little uncomfortable to sleep on my stomach with them.
8dp5dT- runny nose, short fuse with people, impatient, beta confirmed pregnancy, they said it's pretty high, maybe multiples??

I won't say anything except this whole process and over analyzing symptoms sucks and I feel for you! Good luck!

I am so excited I can finally share my story. After TTC for a year we decided to see a fertility specialist.
DH 32

Believe me when I tell u don't give up it can happen for you. I had no detectable issues. Our 1st sperm analysis came back poor count and motility. My husband works nights and told me he didn't get enough rest. We did another and it came back 72mil wonderful. Not sure if his schedule made the difference in why it took so long to conceive. We did 1iui failed. IVF retrieval 26 eggs, 22 mature, 19 fertilized with icsi. Yes -we chose to do 5 day blasts and ended with 5 excellent quality blasts. My doctor recommended I freeze all due to risks of ohss. He said its better to proceed with fet later to give my body a chance to heal and get fertility meds out my system. I chose to proceed with transfer because I'm impatient and had taken time off. Well it failed should have listened to my doctor. Started preparing for fet after my cycle. Estrace 2-3 times a day. This cycle I had a reflexology massage a couple days before transfer. The next day I felt wonderful no aches or pains. I did not do acupuncture this cycle. We decided to put 1 blast back after hearing all the potential risks associated with multiples. I'm glad we did because it work. I drank pineapple juice, ate pineapple and sunflower seats the 1st 3 days after the transfer. Also took a week off to rest.

This month I began a fast no bread or alcohol. I keep my faith and prayed nightly. No matter how hard it gets never give up. Have faith in The Lord everything will work out in your favor. Start pinning things to Pinterest (kids) and just know it will work out. I purchased a gift for a friends baby shower and grabbed something for my future baby as well. Faith works. Ask, Believe & receive. I have never felt so blessed will finally have our blessing.

Ok so me & my partner had been ttc for about 2 months with no luck. We charted, used opk, everything but NOTHING... Ok well it was our 3rd month ttc and I almost thought it was impossible with the mind that my birth control (mirena) was the cause because I had several complications with it. Well we tried again... So once again I'm in my tww.. I went to my doc for a beta test at 10dpo... BFN... Tested with hpt.. BFN... Another beta test at 15dpo.. BFN... UGH!! Then 3 days late... AF started.. I bled a whole 5 days like a normal period... Well we planned our next try for the following month but I was due for my annual pap smear 23 dpo... While my doc was doing her job.. she asked if I needed a preg test... I said no because I had just gotten my period but she ordered one anyway and BFN... So she ordered a blood test and BFN.. So she did an ultrasound and we saw a little sack there!! My doc still doesn't know why I failed the beta test but I'm happy!! I'm now 26 weeks and we are super healthy!!

I'm so excited here is my story:
Me & my hubby were trying for 2 yrs! In Jan 2012 our doctor organized for us to see a fertility specialist. I really had to push my doctor as she kept saying it will happen your young! We got called in to see the specialist did the tests in May & was called back in June and was told that for my age 30 I had a low egg reserve & was told we did not have long to hang around.

We did 3 months of gonal f injections with timed intercourse-did not work
Then we did 2 iui's in September & Oct they did not work & was told not do to any more iui's & move on to ivf.
We did our ivf in Jan this year I always found the injections fine
8 eggs were retrieved 6 fertilized when it came to the 5 day transfer on the Friday we had 1 great emybryo & one good one so we put two back. There was none left to freeze!
I took it easy that day but the following days I went on as normal without lifting anything heavy. Went back to work the following week. The nurse told me I could do the test on Wed Feb 6th. It was a long wait towards the end. I decided to do it the eve before I was due to test! It was day 32 of my cycle I have never had a cycle longer then 31. I wanted to do it before my hubby came home from work as I didn't think it would be positive. I was so nervous doing the test I was shakin. I left it for 10mins & was afraid to go back in to check it. I could not believe it when I saw, 2 red lines. I'm still in shock to be honest. As one girl said on her post, it's not over until it's over. So even if you think your getting your af, you may not be!

So here are my symptoms:
On the Tuesday morning, I was woken up by terrible cramps (was not worried as I thought it was too early to be af cramps even though they usually start 10 days before). I was taking the vaginal progesterone from that Tuesday to the Friday I was extremely gassy & my stomach was so bloated. I looked like I was 4 months pregnant my stomach was so bloated this is a side effect of the progesteone.
All week I had extremely bad pains which felt like af cramps but worse. I did think I was getting af.
My boobs were kinda off sore but that is another side effect.
The only thing out of the norm for me was the whole week my nose was not runny but "watery" which I did think was weird.
I was pale, still am but this usually happens when getting my af. Also the Sunday I was shopping & saw tomatoes & wanted them! I never eat tomatoes & did think this was strange. I ate the tomato that eve on its own.

The only thing that gave me hope was the stories on here about girls getting cramps but were pregnant.

I honestly did not think I was pregnant until I did the test.
I was dreading telling my hubby it had not worked. I had told my mum it hadn't, she said it will say your prayers & it will be positive.

I prayed constantly before the ivf, I believe it was god that made it happen in the end.

Recite this prayer & believe it will happen.

Powerful hourly novena

This is to be said at the same time every hour for 8 successive hours:

" O Jesus you said "ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you" through the Immaculate heart of your Most Holy Mother, I knock, I seek I ask that my prayer will be granted:
think of your intention

"O Jesus you said, "If you ask the Father anything in my name, he will give it to you; through the Immaculate Heart of your most Holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask your Father in your name that my prayer will be granted:

This is my third pregnancy (no births) and on each occasion my symptoms have been different. I would have sworn by now I would have been able to tell if I was pg but I can categorically say this third time I am blown away.
May 2008 - 1st pregnancy conceived naturally (TFMR) I had classic symptoms which made me suspicious before BFP. Crying at the drop of a hat, peeing all the time at night. But no sore bbs or nausea.

September 2012. 2nd pregnancy with fourth IVF. Cramping and pulling about 2dp5dt. Sore boobs which went away and then came back before beta. Slightly increased urination. The occasional emotional outburst. 1st Beta 180 at 10dp5dt. Miscarried at eight and a half weeks.

February 2013 - aged 39! 3rd pregnancy from fifth IVF. AF cramps three days before beta. And that is it. Assumed period was on its way. Absolutely nothing that made me think this cycle had worked and I was already looking into donor eggs. I didn't even answer the call from my clinic with the beta results because I couldn't face speaking to my RE. Beta was 290 at 10dp5dt. Given my history and my age I remain extremely cautious but just wanted to let everyone know it is 100% possible to be symptom free and still get a positive with a string beta.

With the three failed IVFs I felt no symptoms either way.

BFP With IVF/ICSI #1

DH (36) and I (32) had been trying for a 18 months with no luck (apparently doing all the right things) and I just felt that something wasn't right. Being a very impatient person and lucky enough to be able to afford some private treatment, I had lots of tests to see if there was anything wrong. Everything came back perfect except DH's morphology (4%) however this was still considered within normal parameters in his NHS test. We booked an appointment with a Fertility specialist and DH had a more detailed semen analysis showing that his sperm were not traveling effectively, which only gave us a very slim chance of conception each month.
After trying for a bit longer, we decided to go for IVF/ICSI as normal IVF was not recommended due to the altered movement patterns.
In short, we were extremely lucky first time and got our BFP 9dp5dt. I am now 17 weeks pregnant and have had certain amounts of every symptom under the sun in the first trimester, but nothing really started until 6 and a half weeks pregnant.
The only thing I noticed was a very sharp pain lasting about 3 seconds 2dpt, and then randomly at 7 and 8dpt I had heartburn, which is very unusual for me and so far I actually haven't had any other heartburn since those days. I noticed nothing else in the 2ww and actually i probably had less than "normal" months.
I was advised by someone who had had several IVF treatments to absolutely rest after transfer, the only one that had worked for them, she had rested for a week. So, I took a few days off work and literally did nothing for 4 days, which is not completely what the clinics advise (they say to continue as normal but don't lift heavy things or do intensive exercise). Whether this actually made a difference or not, I like to think this helped.
We realize that we were very lucky to get a positive first time but we went into it thinking it was a course of treatment and might take 6 months, a year or more, rather than just a success or fail. I know that sounds easy to say when it worked but I think it helped to keep me sane throughout the process. I think that if you can it's important to be able to talk to your close family and friends about what you're doing during treatment.
Wishing everyone the best of luck in their own story. x
